The overall objective of the MSTAH is to follow an integrated One Health approach linking animal and human health, with a focus on:
- The relationship between animal and human infectious and parasitic diseases (zoonoses)
- Diseases and ecosystem health in order to improve disease control strategies
- Ecosystem sustainability
- Food security
- Rural development
1) DGD Scholarships
With the financial support of the Directorate-General for Development (DGD), the Institute of Tropical Medicine is able to offer complete or partial scholarships to applicants from developing countries.
The admission requirements of the DGD scholarships:
- Admission to the course
- You’re less than 46 years old at the time of enrollment.
- You are a national of one of the following countries: Benin, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cuba, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Guinea, Haiti, Indonesia, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Niger, Palestine, Philippines, Peru, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam, Zimbabwe.
- At least two years of professional experience. Please note that internships and prior thesis work are not considered as professional experience.
The ITM Social Fund offers partial scholarships to candidates from the European Union. The scholarships can cover up to 80% of registration and tuition fees.
